Gerald ‘Pete’ Hooks Economy Boro Gerald ’Pete” Hooks, 84, of Economy Boro, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. Born June 10, 1933, in Mars, Pa., a son of the late Blair and Catherine (Burris) Hooks, he was a retired truck driver with Local Teamsters 341 and was a life member of the Ambridge Sportsmen’s Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hooks; four sisters, Helen Thomas, Donna Louise Arnold, Delores Blanarik and Gloria Pocorus. Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Wilma (Cymbalak) Hooks; two sons, Gerald (Cindy) Hooks and Jeffrey (Gina) Hooks; both of Economy Boro; four daughters, Wanda Harvan and her companion, Gary Sherba and Ruth (Michael) Szymoniak, all of Economy Boro; Robin Mason, West Aliquippa and Kelly (Raymond) Gregory, Ambridge; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Hooks, Chippewa Twp.; many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, February 2, 2018, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, followed by additional viewing on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
