George Anthony Vlasic, 92, of Sewickley, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017, in Villa St. Joseph, Baden, surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 14, 1925, in Ambridge, a son of the late John and Anna (Nestic) Vlasic, he had worked in the maintenance department of the Beaver County Housing Authority and had served in the US. Navy in World War II on the USS Quincy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel J. (Harvey) Vlasic, on September 26, 1992.
Surviving are a sister, Helen Vlasic Reed, Sewickley; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Antoinette (Nanni) Vlasic, Leetsdale, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, August 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 10:45 a.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
