Athalia L. (Barney) Mayconich, 96, formerly of Aliquippa died Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at West Hills Health and Rehab. Born August 10, 1922, in Monaca, the daughter of the late Bernard and Pearl Murton Kanschat In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Timber) Mayconich in 2001; a son-in-law, Gary Adams in 1990; three sisters Thelma Dunkle, Lil Helms, and Pearl Buckenheimer; and one brother, Herman (Barney) Kanschat. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Doreen Mayconcih Jr., Philadelphia; a daughter, Dorothy Adams and Red Craft, Conway; a granddaughter, Marcie and Michael Bearer; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Leah Nicole Beaer all of New Sewickley Twp.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Clara Suhy, Monaca, and Evelyn and Ken Powers, Wisconsin. Friends will be received on Friday at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Blessing service at 1:30 p.m. at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maple wood Ave., Ambridge. Interment will follow Woodlawn Cemetery.
