Anthony J. "Tony" Samangy, 76, of Baden, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at home.
Born April 12, 1940, in Ambridge, a son of the late Mike L. and Angela Rinaldi Samangy, he was retired from H.H. Robertson. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden; Baden American Legion; Ambridge Eagles, Conway Croatian Club; former member of the Beaver County Special Unit, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret McCauley Samangy; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony J. Jr. and Kara Samangy, Hudson, Ohio; a daughter, Janine Samangy, Baden; six grandchildren, Randy and his wife Lindsay Samangy, Tyler and his wife Jessica Young, and Nichole, Ethan, Sofia and Jeremy Samangy; a great-grandson, Benjamin Young; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Samuel and Sandy Samangy, and Michael L. Samangy, all of Baden; a sister-in-law, Carol Samangy, Monaca, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11:45 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
