Anna Claire (Satterlee) Reed

Anna Claire (Satterlee) “Alibi” Reed, 90, formerly of Hopewell Twp., died Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center. Born July 26, 1927, in DuBois, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Carl B. and Anna C. Fox Satterlee. She was a member of the New Bethlehem Church, Independence Twp., Center VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she held various offices in the organization, the F.O.E. Auxiliary #965, Falls Creek, and the Clarion County Historical Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Reed, on September 4, 1999, and a brother, Carl B. Satterlee, Jr. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Patty Reed, White Pine, Tenn.; Gary and Fiona Reed, Sidney, Ohio; William and Peggy Reed, Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Kay Satterlee, Dubois, Pa.; a sister, Mary Adcock, Aliquippa; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with the Rev. Randall Clow officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Cemetery, Hazen, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to one’s favorite charity. A special thank you to Sharon and Scott Neville and Joyce and Donald Kurtzavich for their special care they gave Anna. Also, an extra special thank you to Shirley Wentz, who was an angel.
