Silas Anderson

Silas Anderson, of Aliquippa, I love ya, but I'm leaving on this fine day, Feb. 6, 2016, has departed this life.

Born in Hopewell Township 87 years ago on June 14, 1928, son of the late William and Geneva Anderson. Silas held many positions at several mills in the Ohio Valley area. He was best known as "Slim the Mechanic." He worked on everyone's car.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Mary J. Thompson, Hopewell Township and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Harry and James Anderson.

There will be no viewing. Interment will take place in Economy Cemetery.

The BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements.
