Ross L. McCoy Sr., 87, of Ambridge died Thursday, December 1, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born October 12, 1929, in Sewickley, a son of the late Ross L. and Margaret Degan McCoy, he was retired from the Baden Post Office. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ambridge and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose E. McCoy, on Nov. 19, 2008.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ross Larry McCoy Jr., Ambridge; Thomas A. McCoy, Truckee, Calif., and Richard A. and Laura McCoy, Brighton Twp.; one daughter, Sandra McCoy, Tempe, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Melanie and her husband Chris Rosewell, Phoenix, Ariz.; Amy Yonosick Kaszer, Ambridge; Jacqueline McCoy, Baden, and Matthew A. McCoy and his fiancée, Carmen Gingerella, Hopewell Twp., and one great-grandson, Alexander Rosewell, Phoenix, Ariz.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Cletus Fahrion officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 2 p.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
