Rose Mary (Schugg) Wertz

Rose Mary Wertz, 95, of Ambridge, died Monday, July 13, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born May 19, 1920, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Robert and Anna Gerger Schugg, she was a member of Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Slovak Catholic Sokol #206.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Wertz, Oct. 14, 1986; a sister, Anna Squires and a brother, Robert Schugg.

Surviving are one son, Thomas Wertz, Ambridge; one daughter, Peggy Leech, Harmony Twp.; six grandchildren, Raymond W. Leech III and his wife Janet, Harmony Twp.; Mary Kay Leech, Baden; John Leech and his wife Nancy, Ambridge; Michael Leech and his wife Maureen, Midland; Rose Jameson, Harmony Twp., and Steven Leech and his wife Stacey, Center Twp.; eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; one sister in law, Victoria Schugg, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge.

Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery.

The Ambridge Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will meet at Wednesday 6 p.m. in the funeral home to conduct a service
