Ronald F. Rotondo

Ronald F. Rotondo, 81, of Harmony Twp., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.

Born June 5, 1935, in Sewickley, a son of the late Frederick and Sylvia Czajkowski Rotondo, he worked 30 years for J&L/LTV Steel and then worked 28 years at Sewickley Valley Hospital. He was a member of Good Samaritan Church.

Ron was a loving person who always put his family first. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ron loved his home town of Ambridge and especially loved going to all the high school football and basketball games.

Ron was a member of Ambridge Eagles, a member and past president the Ambridge Wolves Club, and a past president of the Ambridge Quarterback Club.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lois Dreyer Rotondo; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Frederick Rotondo, Harmony Twp.; Thomas and Kelly Rotondo, Elizabethtown, PA, and Joseph and Desiree Rotondo, Harmony Twp.; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Jeff Smith, Williamsburg, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Ann Rotondo, Trenton, MI; one sister-in-law, Melissa Rotondo, Fountain Valley, CA; ten grandchildren, Christina Gima, Sebastian Smith, Mandy, Ciara, Christopher, Chloe, Caylin, Cidney, Adrien, and Cosette Rotondo and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church.
