Ronald Paul Baskal

Ronald Paul Baskal, 66, of Aliquippa, died Monday, December 29, 2014, at home.


Born August 12, 1948, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Brownie and Anna Baskal, he was retired form Pittsburgh Forgings. He enjoyed cooking and his beautiful rose garden, which was his passion. He had a green thumb, everything he touched grew.


Surviving are his wife, Julie Christner Belcher Baskal; a stepson, Brian Belcher, Pittsburgh; a step-grandson, Brandon Belcher; three nieces, Anna Marie, Racheal Paulokonis, and Lori Ann Thompson; two nephews, David Jr. and Joe Christner; a brother-in-law, Donald Paulokonis; his mother-in-law, Bessie Christner, Baden; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Darlene Christner, Economy, and his beloved dog, Peanut.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Belcher Jr.; a sister, Evelyn Paulokonis, and his father-in-law, Budd Christner.


There will be no viewing. All services will be private.


The BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements.


Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
