Mike Sherba

Mike Sherba, 92, of Ambridge, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, in West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born October 5, 1924, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Mike and Helen Koblik Sherba, he retired from National Electric with 29 years of service and had also worked at Armco for 15 years. He was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church and was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Gerra Sherba; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Nancy Sherba, Ambridge, and Gary Sherba and Wanda Harvan, and a grandson, Drew Michael Sherba, all of Economy.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 p.m. until time of blessing service at 7:30 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with the Very Rev. Father William Evansky officiating.

Private interment will take place Thursday in Economy Cemetery.
