MaryAnn Lindauere, 91, of Economy Borough, was born July 22, 1924 and went to be with our Lord May 6, 2016.

MaryAnn was born in Herreid, S.D., to Karl and Mary Weinzirl as one of 11 children. She was raised on the farm and learned the value of a loving and caring family. Everyone that had contact with MaryAnn was blessed by her compassionate and loving nature.

She married Robert H. Lindauere in Redwood City, CA, January 11, 1946. They moved to Economy, PA, after World War II where they made their home together for the next 58 years. She was preceded in death by Robert in 2004.

She is survived by six children; Bill (Carol) Lindauere of Economy and their two sons, Ryan and Dawson; Pat (Doug) Flansburg of Palouse, WA and their two children, Aaron (Nicole) Flansburg and Annie (Phill) Spiess; Chuck (Debbie) Lindauere of Ohioville and their grand-daughter, Taylor Thomas; Dave (Karen) Lindauere of Ambridge; Fritz (Dan) Hahn of Harmony and their four children, Heather Szymoniak (Andrew Fabry), Rachael (Steve) Shirey, Brad (Jill) Hahn and Danielle Hahn, and Mark (Marlene) Lindauere of Beaver. MaryAnn was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Elena, Lauren, Max and Amelia.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Baden, served as a member of the choir, Christian Mother's, Meals on Wheels, a CCD teacher and a weekly pierogi volunteer. MaryAnn brought joy to all those around her with her droll sense of humor and her love of play.

Friends and family will be received on Monday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "IT TAKES A WARRIOR" (www.itaw.us), Attn: Steve Monteleone, 133 Woodcrest Road, Butler, PA 16002. This is a local organization that supports our local veterans with various financial needs.
