Mary (Zwatty) Posega, 99, of Ambridge, died Friday, January 23, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.
Born July 27, 1915, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Harry and Anna Zwatty, she was retired as a custodian in the Ambridge Area School District for 15 years. She was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church and S.N. P. J. Lodge. Mary was known for making the best nut rolls, apple strudel and stuffed cabbage.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Posega, Nov. 11, 1992; two brothers, John and Walter Zwatty and a sister, Olga Russell.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Connie Posega and Harry and Sandy Posega; one daughter, Marie Posega; four grandchildren, Katie, Frank, Jacob and Samuel; one sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Frank Markvan and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 7 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. in Good Samaritan Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
