Mary A. Lysick, 92, of Ambridge, died Monday morning, November 20, 2017, in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born December 12, 1924, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Simo and Grace Vrankovich, and stepdaughter of the late Mary Nelko. She had worked for Bell Telephone and Parker Hunter, Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church; Junior Women’s Club and graduated from Ambridge High School in 1943.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene J. Lysick; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Lynn Lysick, Moon Twp.; a grandson, Jacob Lysick, Morgantown, W.Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Joanne Vrankovich, Hopewell Twp., and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ernie Debreczini, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rudy Vrankovich; a sister, Kay Flanary, and her in-laws, Jacob and Anna Lysiak.
Private family services were held in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. The Rev. Father Michael Kochis officiated. Interment followed in Economy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
She will be greatly missed and was a loving mother, wife and grandmother
