Kathryn (Fitzpatrick) Bunger

Kathryn 'Kay' Fitzpatrick Bunger, 91, of Ambridge, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, in Villa St. Joseph. Born May 23, 1924, in Delancey/Adrian, PA, a daughter of the late John J. and Mary Hudascek Fitzpatrick, she was the former secretary for the vice president of Alcoa Corp. and also worked at Turners Men's Store, Ambridge. She was a member of Good Samaritan Church. Surviving are her husband, James C. Bunger; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Pat and Scott Sampson, Niceville, FL; Nora Kate and John Price, Bridgewater, and Peggy Ann and Norm Mitry, Center Twp.; three grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Ben Susan, Center Twp.; Kaitlin Carfagna and her companion, John Kearney, Center Twp., and Douglas Jason Arnold, Washington, DC and nieces and nephews, Lee and Bea Fields, Kenneth and Liz Fitzpatrick, Carol Lee and Gary O'Brien, Susie and Tom Miller, Peggy Jo Susan, Kelly and Dave Douglas, and Sean and Karen Fitzpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Fitzpatrick. A private family viewing will be held Tuesday in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph or Villa St. Joseph. The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Jackson and the staff at Franciscan Manor, Villa St. Joseph, Sister Ruth and Sister Bridgette for their care and compassion they gave our mother.
