Joseph J. Durish, 75, of Economy, died Sunday evening, October 2, 2016, in his home.
Born April 18, 1941, in Aliquippa, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Durish, he was a retired schoolteacher from the Moon Area School District. He received his bachelor's degree from Edinboro University and his master's degree from Youngstown State University. He did broadcasting for WMBA and had his own talk show, "Cup of Joe." He was an avid golfer and a longtime coach in various sports.
Surviving are his wife, Jessie Harvie Durish; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Tracy Durish, Clarion, and Michael and Tiffany Durish, Shaler; five grandchildren, Sarah, Kelsey, Jack, Natalie and Patrick Durish; a sister, Cecilia Durish, Georgia, and a niece, Sallie Costanza, Freedom.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. in BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. The Rev. Roxie Costanza, his nephew, will officiate.
