James C. Bunger, 93, of Harmony Twp., died Friday, July 29, 2016, in Franciscan Manor.
Born December 31, 1922, in Leetsdale, PA, a son of the late Charles Vincent and Loretta Schiffour Bunger, he was retired from Sealtest Foods, Stop N' Go in Ambridge and Hopewell, Armco Steel and also a courier for Heritage Valley Health Systems. He was a former commissioner of Harmony Twp., a member of the Fair Oaks Elks, and was a U.S Navy World War II veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Bunger, Nov. 28, 2015, and a sister, Peggy Marti.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Pat and Scott Sampson, Niceville, FL; Nora Kate and John Price, Bridgewater, and Peggy Ann and Norm Mitry, Center Twp.; three grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Ben Susan, and Kaitlin Carfagna and her fiancé, John Kearney, all Center Twp., and Douglas Jason Arnold, Washington, DC; one nephew, Lee and his wife, Bea Fields, Sewickley, and many other nieces and nephews.
A private family viewing will be held Monday at the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Catholic Church.
Private interment will take place in Economy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph or Villa St. Joseph.
