Helen M. Negrey, 93, formerly of Ambridge, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, in Heritage Valley Beaver. Born June 2, 1924, in French Creek, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Scarff Landis. She was an excellent seamstress and made fabulous holiday dinners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Negrey in 2004; two brothers, Walter and Jim Landis; and a sister, Ruby Renick. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Nancy Negrey, Beaver; two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret and Chuck Peters, San Jose, Calif., and Kathy Negrey, Williamsburg, Va.; six grandchildren, Eileen (Eljas) Long, and Valerie (Ken) Hines, all of San Jose, Calif.; Andrew Negrey, Philadelphia; Natalie (Dylan) Kennedy, South Orange, N.J.; Amy (Don) Walker, Charlottesville, Va.; and Jesse Koah, Richmond, Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Vivian Hines, and Darcy, Troy and Easton Long. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of service 4:30 p.m. in BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with the Rev.
