Helen (Demay) Kundrat

Helen (Demay) Kundrat, age 97, died Monday, August 21,2017. She was born in Ambridge to Theodore and Mary (Belchyk) Demay.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Demay, and sisters, Sophia Pesolyar and Ann Maytuf.  Her beloved husband, Frank Kundrat, departed in 1999.  She is survived by daughters, Jean K. Melton and Carol K. Jones, and granddaughter, Leslie Ann Jones, as well as special nieces and nephews.  Throughout her life, Helen was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church.  She sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.  Her other affiliations included Harmony Twp. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Woodlawn Chapter.  Visitation will take place Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Ambridge. The Very Rev. Father William J. Evansky will officiate. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.  If desired, contributions in memory of Helen may be sent to Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Ambridge, PA.
