Frank J. Hribar

June 24, 1932 ~ February 10, 2015 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Frank 'Mooney' Hribar, 82, of Economy Borough, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 in Heritage Valley Sewickley.

Born June 24, 1932, in Aliquippa, a son of the late John and Barbara (Vesolich) Hribar. Frank served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and retired from J&L Steel Corp. with 43 years of service. He was an avid sportsman who loving hunting and fishing. He was also a man of great faith who devoted 50 years to his church and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a lifetime member of the Baden American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, John, Stephen, Ronald and Robert Hribar; three sisters, Mildred Kozlina, Carolyn Seery and Johanna Hribar.

Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Carmella Roppo Hribar; three children, Julie Hribar and Michael Hribar, both of Economy Borough and Cathy (Bill) Fischer, Harmony Twp. The greatest joys of his life are his grandchildren, Savannah and Blaise Fischer and Halleigh Irwin. Frank is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews; an aunt, Frances Hribar, South Heights; sisters-in-law, Carol Hribar, Diane Hribar, Arlene Hribar, all of Aliquippa; Joyce Hribar, Monaca; Charlotte Hribar, Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother-in-law, Jerry and his wife, Patty Roppo, Economy Borough; a sister-in-law, Carolyn and her husband, Paul Porter, Ambridge.

Friends will be received Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. James Medich and the physicians of Heritage Valley Sewickley for the care that was given and to thank the ICU staff and 5 West Floor of the hospital for their dedication and compassionate care.

Members of the Beaver County Military Unit will meet on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway.
