Eleanor A. (Lippart) Bires

Eleanor A. Bires, 85, of Ambridge, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born January 20, 1931, in Clearfield, PA, a daughter of the late Chester and Ethel Lippart, she was a member of Good Samaritan Church. She was involved in Ambridge politics for many years and was a lifetime committeewoman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Bires Sr., on October 21, 2010, and a sister, Alice Bollinger.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert E. Jr. and Cathy Bires, Baden, and Andrew A. Bires, Ambridge; a grandson, Robert J. and his wife Alysia Bires, Baden; a sister, Elaine Scheffler, Beaver, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
