Catherine MichelosenApril 27, 1924 ~ January 29, 2017 (age 92)
On Thursday, January 26, 2017, Aunt Kay wearily stated to me, "Please, I just want to go to Heaven." She was so tired. Our merciful Lord gathered her up into Heaven the evening of January 29, 2017.
Catherine was born April 27, 1924. She was the middle daughter of the late Peter and Rose Michelosen (Kilarska). Kay was predeceased by her older sister, Stella Nakonezny (Paul), and her younger sister, Anna Michelosen. Kay was a proud lifelong resident of Ambridge and remained in the family home. She was retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Kay is survived by her niece, Rosemary and Fulton Miklos of Ross Township and her cousin, Steffie and Al Seaman of Aliquippa.
Friends will be received Tuesday, January 31, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of Parastas service at 2 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with Father Michael Polosky officiating.
A private interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
Please consider any memorial contributions to the Ladle and Hearth at the United Presbyterian Church, 9th and Maplewood, Ambridge, PA 15003 or the Center of Hope, 740 Park Road #1, Ambridge, PA 15003. Thank you for considering these programs that provided my aunts companionship and nourishment.
A very special thank you is extended to Sisters Antonina and Maria of the Community of the Holy Family of Nazareth for their prayers, encouragement and support. Words are not enough to express our appreciation.
We also thank Arden Court for their support and dedication. Kay was safe and secure in their care
