Born March 9, 1931, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Rudolph and Martha Sala Sittig, he was retired from Duquesne Light, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Ambridge VFW.

In this world where so many of us fails, he succeeded. A faithful husband, a truly good father, a humble man … simple, wise, loving and deserving of more than we were every able to give him. He was the giver, we the recipients.

A praying man who loved God first … knows the Lord Jesus … and loved us all. In 84 years, no violence from him and barely a loud word. Gentle and beautiful, a very rare man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Catherine M. Sittig, on March 4, 2005; five brothers, Alfred, Lawrence, Russell, Norman and William Sittig, and two sisters, Luella Metz and Evelyn Sittig.
