Barbara J. (Johnson) D'Alessandris

Barbara J. D'Alessandris, 84, of Harmony Twp., died Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

Born May 9, 1932, in Calais, ME, a daughter of the late Reed A. and Ivilla Hinds Johnson, she was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Calais High School, and a graduate of Higgins College and American Institute of Banking, Boston, MA. She worked many years in the banking industry and retired from the Bank of America. She served the community on various boards including being a Harmony Twp. commissioner and a member of the Beaver County Corporation of Economic Development. Barbara was also a member of Jacob Ferree D. A. R. and the PA Society of Mayflower Descendants.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Domenic D'Alessandris, Oct. 2007, and a nephew, Kenneth Johnson.

Surviving are sisters, Dorothy Beaton, Longview, WA and June Dineen, and a brother, Reed Johnson, both of Calais, ME; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Karin and Jeff Lemon, and especially her cat, Maizie.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 22, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. A service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
