Albert ‘Sonny’ Tomei Baden On the 8th of April, Albert “Sonny” Tomei was greeted by his wife at the gates of Heaven. Sonny was born on October 1, 1938, to his parents Albert and Elizabeth Tomei. He lived in Baden his entire life. Sonny and his wife Judy were married for 55 years in this lifetime, and now get the privilege of spending eternity together with their Savior. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Tomei, and is survived by his brother, Edward Tomei; daughter and son-in-law and their children, Abby and Tom Hardy and Marissa, Thomas and wife Kelsie; a son and his children, Jeff Tomei and Iziah, Cherokee and Jade and a son and his children, Joe Tomei, Sarah and husband Nick Scavo, Josh and wife Megan, Maggie and fiancé Brandon Welch, Matt and Alex; eight great-grandchildren. He graduated from Ambridge High School and proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Randolph CVS-15 Carrier and was also a reserve in the United States Army. Sonny worked as a foreman at Wyckoff Steel. He later was a police officer for both the Baden and Harmony Township Police Departments. After his retirement, Sonny followed his passion for golf and worked for a number of years with his close friends at Black Hawk Golf Course. This is not a time to grieve, but a time to rejoice in the moment Sonny and Judy reunited. Their hearts were separated in two, now they are one again. “A limb has fallen from the family tree, that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.” The family would like to thank Mrs. Miller and the entire staff of angels at the ‘Baden Neighborhood’ of Villa St. Joseph for the extraordinary special care they provided Albert for the last three months. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14th at 11 a.m. at the Baden United Methodist Church, lead by Pastor James Decker. There will be no arrangements following the memorial service. The family asks that memorial donations be made to Villa St. Joseph, 1030 State Street, Baden, PA 15005. Funeral arrangements are being handled through BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.
